Drupalers Association Pune is a Section 8 company (NGO) registered in India, dedicated to fostering the Drupal community and promoting open-source technologies. Our activities include organizing events, workshops, training programs, and community initiatives.
This policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations related to payments made to Drupalers Association Pune for various activities, including but not limited to:
- Event Registrations (e.g., DrupalCamps, meetups, conferences)
- Workshop/Training Fees
- Donations
1. General Principles
- All refunds and cancellations will be processed in a fair and transparent manner, adhering to the terms outlined below.
- Drupalers Association Pune reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our official website.
- Processing of approved refunds may take 7-14 business days from the date of approval. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used.
- In cases of technical issues or payment discrepancies, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
- We request all participants and donors to carefully review their selections and be sure before making any payment or donation to Drupalers Association Pune.
2. Event Registrations (Workshops, Conferences, Meetups, etc.)
2.1. Cancellation by Participant
- More than 30 days prior to the event: A full refund, less a 15% administrative fee, will be provided. This fee covers processing costs and non-recoverable expenses.
- 15-30 days prior to the event: A 50% refund will be provided.
- Less than 15 days prior to the event: No refunds will be issued.
- No-shows: No refunds will be issued for participants who do not attend the event without prior notification.
- Transfer of Registration: At the discretion of Drupalers Association Pune, a participant may be allowed to transfer their registration to another individual for the same event. This request must be made in writing to [email protected] at least 7 days prior to the event. An administrative fee of 10% may apply for processing the transfer.
2.2. Cancellation by Drupalers Association Pune
- In the unlikely event that Drupalers Association Pune cancels an event, a full refund of the registration fee will be issued to all registered participants.
- Drupalers Association Pune is not responsible for any other costs incurred by the participant (e.g., travel, accommodation) due to the cancellation of an event.
2.3. Rescheduling of Event
- If an event is rescheduled, participants will be given the option to attend on the new date or receive a full refund.
3. Donations
- As a non-profit organization, donations made to Drupalers Association Pune are considered voluntary contributions towards our mission and are generally non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to the donor's change of mind.
- No cash or direct money refunds will be entertained for online donations due to the cumbersome nature of the process involved.
- Exception for Fraudulent Transactions: The only exception to this policy is in the case of a fraudulent transaction notification received from the Payment Gateway Service Providers. Such cases will be investigated, and appropriate action will be taken.
- In cases of accidental or erroneous donations (e.g., duplicate transaction, incorrect amount), please contact us immediately at [email protected] within 24-48 hours of the transaction. Such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Drupalers Association Pune reserves the right to decline a refund for donations once the funds have been utilized for charitable activities as per our objectives. All donations received are promptly allocated to support our community development, education, and women empowerment initiatives.
4. Workshops/Training Programs (Distinct from general events)
- Specific refund and cancellation terms for workshops and training programs may be outlined in the individual program's registration details. In the absence of specific program terms, the "Event Registrations" policy (Section 2) will apply.
5. Refund Process
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
- The request should include:
- Full Name of the Payer
- Email Address used for Registration/Payment
- Date of Payment
- Amount Paid
- Details of the Event/Membership/Donation
- Reason for Refund Request
- Proof of Payment (e.g., transaction ID, screenshot)
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used. If this is not possible, an alternative method will be discussed with the payer.
- The decision of the Drupalers Association Pune management committee regarding refunds will be final.
